We bring Ireland's history and culture to life |
Our storyDirectors Niamh and John have been running Irish tours for over 20 years, with a wealth of experience in both hospitality and Irish studies. We are passionate about delivering interesting, insightful courses to our guests, and making sure every guest is as comfortable as possible.
We work with local artists, experts and guides, restaurateurs, musicians, small businesses and communities on every course we provide. It is important to us to showcase the wealth of talent Ireland has to offer, and to support these people and businesses as much as we can.
Our US partners include UNC Worldview, CCID, The Milwaukee Irish Festival, The African-American Irish Diaspora Network, AFS USA, Women of Irish Heritage, and many many colleges, high schools, universities and organisations. We are a member of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. |
Who we areDr. Niamh Hamill began teaching educational and cultural programs for USA students and adults in 1996. She has a PhD in cultural history, and a Masters Degree in American Studies. Niamh loves to introduce people to the rich and diverse history of Ireland, and all aspects of its culture.
John O'Connell has been working in hospitality and tourism for over twenty years, and is also an enthusiast of Irish culture and history. John is a graduate of Shannon College, and travelled and worked abroad before establishing the Atlantic campus in Bundoran. |
Community-based
We are based in Bundoran, a small coastal town in County Donegal, in Northwest Ireland. We work in partnership with our local businesses, restaurants, coach operators, outdoor activity centers, community organizations, artists and musicians. It is very important to us that visitors come to Donegal, and that we work in a sustainable and ethical way.
|
Dedication and ExpertiseWe pride ourselves on delivering authentic experiences, and we invite the most knowledgeable and skilled people to work with us on our trips. We put the safety, well-being and happiness of our visitors as our primary objective, and all our trips are designed with this in mind.

Ireland for everyoneWe host many international groups and guests, and it is always a pleasure to connect people with their Irish roots. However, Irish narratives are shared by many other cultures around the world, and we are committed to diverse and inclusive programs that welcome everyone.

No blarney!Sorry- it's a leprechaun free zone, and you won't get a sanitized or touristy version of Ireland from us. We think real Ireland is more than you can imagine, and all that you want, complete with its good and bad histories, sun and rain and bog and fog, real people, crazy roads, wild waves and the warmest and friendliest reception you could ask for.
