10 days , 2 festivals, the best of both worlds

The Calling:
January 20-30, 2022

'The Calling' is a unique music and cultural tour of Ireland, incorporating not just one, but two music & culture festivals! This trip takes place in two locations- first, in beautiful remote County Donegal, on Ireland's famous 'Wild Atlantic Way', where you will be introduced to the history, culture and music of Ireland by the local historians, artists and musicians.

The second part of the trip is in Dublin, for the largest and best Festival of Irish Music- Tradfest. Tradfest takes place over four days, in various different venues around the city. Many of the venues are places of historical and cultural significance, and they provide a very evocative atmosphere for the performances. Tradfest brings the very best of contemporary and legendary Irish musicians and bands together in one place.

What's included in your trip:

Atlantic IrishFest

The Northwest of Ireland has long been celebrated for its unique Atlantic culture and history. Now there is a  festival which takes place on that Wild Atlantic Way, making the most of the cosy winter atmosphere, with the best of live music, cultural talks about the history of Ireland, outdoor activities along the spectacular coastline, and plenty of craic and ceoil with new friends.

You are invited into our local community to learn all about our history, culture and music. You'll really feel a sense of understanding Ireland after your visit to Donegal.

Dublin TradFest

Now in its 15th year, Tradfest is a festival showcasing the cream of both Irish and international trad and folk artists while also providing a stage to promote the next generation of Irish musicianship. Although TradFest today is Ireland’s largest festival of traditional music they now also feature artists from the worlds of folk, nu-folk, and rock and roll! TradFest also offers concert goers unique opportunities to experience live music in some of Dublin’s most historic places. From the atmospheric Kilmainham Gaol to the grandeur of City Hall, this is the difference between memorable and unforgettable.
